Ronnie del Carmen Visits UST

Yesterday, we had a whole day class, 7 am to 5 pm. But due to my personal demand, it was cut to half day. Our section were very thankful coz everyone is not in the mood to attend our free hand class underneath the blazing rays of sunlight. Ahehehehehe.

I came to our 7am perspective class around 9 am. Late again as usual. But I managed to finished my plate twice before 12. I repeated my work because there are obvious mistakes. That's our hradest plate for perspective because there are ellipse figures. I don't have my french curve with me. Back to my last resort, ask for someone's help. I traced again. Wahahahah XDXDXDXD

Around 12, I'm waiting on the corridor outside Beato and surprisingly, my ultimate crush Tsubebi pass by in front of me. That completes my day. *giggles*

Our teacher in Free Hand class called me for emergency because of the lost prelim plates of my classmates. I was to blame because I'm the one who we're tasked to put it on her cabinet on the faculty. And weeks after, it's missing. But thank God we found it right away or else I'm dead! We have class at 1pm- 5pm. And I found out that Mr. Ronnie del Carmen will have a talk in the avr room at the same time. I'm dying to see him and hear his exprience as an artist. He's a very succesful artist worth to idolize. Unlike to those CFAD alumni graduates with big heads who can't even reach half of his level. I made a request to our prof and to our Head Department that our whole class wants to see Mr. del Carmen. With all the luck, they allowed us to watch it but we need to have an attandance and that is no sweat.



Mr. Ronnie del Carmen graduated in UST, having a degree on Fine Art Major in Advertising. They family migrated in the US after, and he's so lucky he had his first comic job with th infamous writer Neal Adams. He had a very wide experience in commercial arts. He's so talented he received very remarkable awards like Best Single Issue Batman series, best storyboards from Finding Nemo Emy awards and more. He already worked with the very talented directors who made a huge success behind animations namingly Sinbad, Prince of Egypt, Spirit, and Finding Nemo thats grosses 800 million dollars worldwide. Man, what can I ask for?! A level headed guy came back to Philippines just to see his school again where he grew. Prior to that, he turn down offers from dreamworks because he already had ton of projects for Pixars to be released on 2007 and 2008. A very busy guy, seeing him, hearing his stories 2 meters away is my visualizations towards my goal. It gives me an inspiration rigth at the moment where I need it. I'm very thankful he appreciates anime and manga eventhough all of his projects were american featured. One of the simple things he made that I envied the most, he already met Hayao Miyazaki, one of my role model artist and director. He's the one behind the success of Ghibli movies like Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. When I saw their picture together during anime conventions in America, my burning passion rises again to the highest level. I saw that commercial a year ago that Hayao Miyazki will be the guest for the biggest anime convention of all time. That anime expo had a 41,000 total of people who gathered there from all over the world. I feel bad I have no money that time. I don't know if my dreams are right, but I'll just keep on dreaming. For Mr. Ronnie del Carmen, more blessing to you and keep touching people's lives. ^___^

I wasn't able to join the dota tournament because of too much people waiting for their turn to use the computer. The game play is anything goes challenge. So I played guilty gear and naruto instead. In quilty gear, there are groups of god mode players there. There's no chance I could win. I lost 2 times. Even in naruto, there's only 1 good player ther and because I haven't played for 2 months, I'm rusted! I lost 2 times and won 1 challenge. It was fun anyway playing with strangers.


I met new people, veritas and vixen from St. Paul, friend of Krinklez, nice meeting them ^__^
Veritas is a good artist, I'm impressed. She even gave mw an on the spot drawing of her. ^__^

My Dad's 60th Birthday

It was my dad's 60th birthday this day. He had a party on his office and we are all required to attend because its a special day for him. This is the day where he is about to step for another stage of his life. Life starts at 40 and success are reached at 60. From now on, he's officially a senior citizen.

My dad had a twice party in a row. 1 for lunch just inside the office, but he had already a bunch of visitors including Mayor Sotero of Danglas Abra, and the other one is a formal dinner inside the NBI's gym.

Birthday din ng frend namin sa DA, na si aki. One of the artist ng NeoComix. Ayun, gumawa lang kami ng letters at nagpunta sila sa Mall of Asia. Di na ako sumama dahil may mga inaantay pa akong mga tao. Pero oki naman kasi nakapagmeeting kami. ^___^

Isang plate lang nagawa ko out of 6 kanina, ginawa ko pa sa foodcourt habang nakikipagkwentuhan kaya ewan, angpangit ng kinalabasan.

MP4 Celfone

My dad gave me a new celphone last night before he leaves going to Cagayan de Oro. A brandless, and it's the smallest celfone I've seen yet it's almost the same with the features of Nokia n70. I'm so amazed with its capabilities. Hi res video, I don't know how much megapixels it's capable but it's very clear when you watch video, almost same as the ipod. It's very small I can't think where did they put the micro parts of it. 1/3 of the whole phone is the battery already. Amazing. Next time they will invent cellfone as thin as atm card, and solar as the source of energy. Ahahaha

He's one of the best artist in UST I've seen there. Well actually he's simply the best in painting oil in canvass. He's even way better than the professors. I love the way he make details, even the tiniest hair of the skin, very convincing in realism. He already mastered the flow of light in every angle. Class S level, IDOL!!!

My jaw drops when I saw this lifesize painting.

I came home late due to lots of unexpected events. This morning, I arrive in school 2 hours late. But still, I manage to finish my prelim plate in 2 hours. My class was supposed to be 7 but I arrived at 9 am. So around 11, we were dismissed already. We played first 5 on 5 DOTA in P. Noval. A very nice game indeed. We won but it was a pretty good match. I only played 1 and a half hour. After that, I went to the UST grand stand to rest there. Students from other colleges were having a class picture on that place, so I had a great time viewing the scenery around. ^_^ My classmate liesl gave me her lunch beef brisket. Being thrifty, I ate it right away. Thanks to her I save 50 bucks for lunch. I'm so hyper awhile ago, I saw my ultimate crush from section Adver 1-6 twice! She's sooooooo cute to the nth level. It makes my heart beat so fast. I want to know her name as soon as possible. ^__^ I'm so happy I spend all my money for food. I ate ton of snacks, callamares, pugo, buchi, pizza and halo-halo. Weeeeee, I'm full.



Around 6:30 pm, I went to my dad's office and waited for him for about 1 n 1/2 hours again. The boredoms was killing me, I just called kr to have a short chit-chat, planning for some future gigs and stuffs. When my dad came, its already 8:30. We head straight to east ave, in a korean resto, I dont know what's the name. Around 9, we went to a debut party in Capitol Club house near commonwealth. Another food! Pancit, lechon, fish fillet, tinola, lapu-lapu, and tongue meat. Around 10:30, we went back to araneta ave to attend the last night of Peter Lee's funeral(79). My dad's old friend.

I saw the names of the flowers around, some came from Mayor Fongwan and family, Raymund Tulfo, China Bank and other big names. I'm surprised he's one of the pioneer Chinese restoprenuer in Malate. He's the owner of Hongkong Tea house. Not a five star resto, but his dish were extra ordinary. We ate there a few times before and it's nice. More to that, He also won a championship in tennis on his midlife. So he lived an active lifestyle before, and I believed he has accomplished all of his goals in life. A successful athlete, as an entrepreneur and as a family man. May he rest in peace.

I arrived here at 12. I finished the 2 lettering plates right away so I could sleep early.
Whew, another prelim plate tomorrow. DI ako naghanda, BAHALA NA SI BATMAN, sleeeeeeeep na ako. zzzzzzzzz................

And this one, I'm impressed with KR, this is his concept and design for banner. I know he's creative and a fast learner. In fact he's better than me in doing banners. I remember, my design for the banner of OS site is more cheesy than his. Good thing he took advertising! I could rely on his skill if I need assistance. Haha

IQ and Entrance Exam Result

This piece of paper was given to me by our guidance officer Ms Jenny! She's kind, warm hearted and approachable. She always smiles and project a positive aura. We had a consultation awhile ago regarding our studies, peers, problems, families, and even love life. Hahahahahahah! I'm the only guy out of the 7 girls inside the room. I heard lots of stories of a woman's life. Tears and grief were fully expressed and at the end, laughter is the best way to divert all the sadness and frustrations of our hearts. Just hit the right punch line and know when to spout it out. But still, it was fun to know the backgrounds of your friends. ^__^ Actually, almost 50 percent of my classmates have chinese blood. And all of them have a sensible stories to tell. Hehe, anyway back to my IQ and Entrance Exam result.

She said I'm a fast learner! IQ, SPC and OA are the quickness to learn and the ability to analyze things. M, E and SCI are your stock knowledge and the things you learned in Highschool. Well for sure I'm no good in english! That's my curse! I never had the chance to improve my english skills in my highschool days. The main reason is I'm too lazy to read books. I only read stuff with visual items on it. But I'm trying my best now to force my self to read, I know its a big help to feed my brain with informations. In this test, I got 2 S, wahahahaha, chambalelerz!
But this result would prove I'm not an idiot. I'm competent, goal oriented, obsessive, and always eager to learn. I curse those people who thinks I'm childish and despise my character. Especially if he or she doesn't even pass my standards. I could say if the person is worthy to praise. Talents and skills over brains, street smart over intelligence, actions over words, result over effort. I just don't act with class or showing off being an achiever. I have my own way showing an impression to others that I'm a happy-go-lucky type of person. To those who loathe me from the past, just make sure you're better than me in all aspects! We don't have to mention our capabilities. Your true friends could testify it. Your friends alone could measure your true character who you really are. Sorry to those who averse themselves from the people outside. You missed the benefits for being stubborn and self-centered. The real struggle is to deal with the different type of person in our society. If you can't cope with it, lock your self in your room! Stop bad mouthing others criticizing them severely not knowing that you yourself are even worst. What more if you can't show anything and no one could lift you up. Know your place.
