Persian Cat

Watercolor Practice. Since it's brownout yesterday, I finished this at Burger King SM fairview because it's hard to paint without birght lights. I made the last touches at home though, I cant help it but put a candle beside me. I took this from a digicam so the image is kind of blurry. At last the storm were gone now. I heard lots of tragedy occured again. Still, I'm thankful we're still intact inside the house. The only thing is I wasn't able to use a computer for more than 30 hours. Haha.

Yesterday, in Auditorium Medicine Building

Kanina, art forum sa AVR room ng Beato after our class. Guest speaker ay isang international sculptor na pinoy. Here's our class pic with Eduardo Castrillo, god mode sculptor.



Ito ang isa kanyang mga gawa, People Power(1993) matatagpuan sa EDSA near Corinthians going to Ortigas.


Nabilib ako sa mga gawa nya, grabe may gawa pa siyang 70 feet na sculpture at ang matindi nito, buong last supper ung ginawa nya, 13 people in all. Sobrang galing. Sabi nya magpapaworkshop daw siya sa summer. Kaso asa, wala akong talent sa sculpture. Dota na lang hahaha, fotek antok na ako........

Malakas ulan, walang pasok bukas, errrr... malamang magd-drawing lang ako bukas.
Inaantok na ako zzzzzzzzzzzz....................

Kakaibang Idol Nights

Well Yova the diva won the title of the most kakaibang Idol last night. All of us expected it anyway but still we did our best to support Jhona and vote her upto the last drop of our load. Still she's a winner making it to the Magnificent Seven. I beleive its just a start of something. ^____^

The Final twelve, they sang Salamat by Dawn, this is my favorite part of the show, while they're singing it, the video was showing the happy and sad momnets of every contender, the tears, laughter, frustrations, joy, bonding moments and the rejections that made them stronger. We had a simple art field trip last thursday visiting National Museum with our teacher in Creative designs and free hand drawing Mrs. Laforteza and our head department Ma'am Rogers. Ito ang pinakamakulit na araw at pinakamasayang trip ng klase sa lahat ng ipinasok ko sa uste na yan. Ewan ko ba basta angsaya ng araw na toh. Sobrang kulit namin sa jeep hanggang sa pagtawid sa Finance Road. Kaso may nagrarally, ahahaha, lalong exciting. ^___^

Jhona get the chance to be a candidate for the first Philippine Kakaibang Idol. Ludz called me up around 2:30 pm yesterday to regroup our band for the surprise appearance for Jhona in the portion of Philippine Idol, the " Kakaibang Idol". I decided to ask permission to my prof in Art appreciation so I could leave early. I arrive at home around 4. Me and takumi used my F1 kia trubo car to fetch ludz and kr. I thought we would be late to arrive in ABC-5 studio heading to quirino hi-way coming from lagro to cubao then to quezon ave then to abc 5. 200 peso gas is a bit short. But we just made it on time. As we arrived there, the staff or PA I dont know what to call her, she welcomed us and show us the way going to a certain room where in we could hide and have a brainstorm meeting for the surprise. We waited there for about 3 hours but I believe the waiting ia worth of sacrifice. At least the staff gave us free food. Thanx to them filling up our stomach.

It was my first time to have an appearance in an interview for a show. Well our part is to give testimonials for Jhona while she's on a hot seat. The host is Heart Evangelista. Its just a short portion, I guess that wont exceed 10 minutes and when that will be shown on air, probably that won't exceed 5 minutes. Jhona was surprised. As for our last part, Kr played Kakan using acoustic guitar and Jhona sang it perfectly. That's the end of it. For more detailed story, just tune in on Philippine Idol, ABC 5 friday 8 pm.

UST SCALE MODEL

(Appreciating the excellence of others)

I'm so impressed with these scale models of UST Main Building made by the Architecture students. It is so accurate every detailed is there, even the statues on the roof deck, the big cross and the clock on the center top. There's even an interior where there are mini pavillions inside the quadrangle, trees and the miniature people walking around with their corresponiding colege uniforms upto the guards in front of the main entrance. One word, amazing!

After our class, our teacher required us to watch the volleyball game of our college(girls) versus the volleybal team of architecture. Because of this game, I miss a quiz due to a limited time. Zero again, it was unexpected though. I feel carefree since I know that we have 3 hours class. I went to print a file during our break and it took me while before I return to our class room and my teacher closed the door, so me and my classmate were forced to wait outside til dismissal. *sigh* I'm trying to make a good Monday for a good start of the week but I think luck is so mean to me. But still, something good happened today, I saw my ultimate crush Chubebi in the volleyball game, she even seat just a few meters away from me. I don't care about that quiz anymore, hahahaha. ^__^

"ABA USTE AKO", an event of the central student's council of UST. It's a free concert held in the newly renovated Benavidez Plaza. It's a successful event since everyone enjoyed and had a pure fun raving till the last drop of our sweat. Very hot in the vicinity, add up more the hot chix everywhere. It makes our nose bleed. Hahahaha, bad desu ne!!! ^___^

I'm so tired and wasted this day. I drank 3 bottles of c2, 2 sparkle and 1 viva mineral water. The good part is we don't have class since our teacher was on field trip with the higher level. So I spend the whole day hanging on pavillion in front of beato waiting for my friends. Drawing and Dota helps me kill time and at the same time, it makes me relaxed at satisfied. ^___^

Today was a blast, need another set of energy for tomorrow. ^___^

SCHOOL: may recent 4 plates in creative designs turned into crap. My grade was 88, 94, 94 and 95. Too good for a rush but for some reasons, lahat ng gawa ko ay may minus 10. so naging 78, 84, 84 and 85. Di ako makareklamo kasi baka sabihan akong mayabang. May mga classmate akong 77 na wala pang minus yun. So ang awkward magreklamo. Inisip ko na lang na may right ang teacher mang-minus kung sa tingin nyang may mali. Halos lahat nang klasmeyt ko, sabi di daw worth ung minus ko. Ewan ko ba, kahit anong excellence gawin ko, marami pa ring hindrance. Pero ok na un kasi yoko mabadtrip sa week na toh dahil gusto ko full power ako para sa apat na plates ko bukas at sa friday at sa event sa saturday. Basta feeling ko talaga may magandang mangyayari this week. Actually may nangyari na pala kahapon na maganda. (nakasalubong ko si tsubebi sa eleveator) *giggles" ^____^ Saka ganun pa man, labs ko pa rin mga prof ko lalo na si Ma'am Lafort at si Ma'am Mailah at ang aming department head na si Ma'am Rogers. ^____^

HOUSE: ayun sira pa rin ung tiles sa kwarto ko so di pa rin ako makatulog dun dahil angdumi, angkalat at gulo-gulo lahat. Pumapasok na lang ako s akwarto ko para kumuha ng damit sa cabinet.

LUNA ASWANG: bumili ako ng ticket kanina para panoorin tong film showing na toh kasi required at tulong na rin sa charity, kaso umuwi din ako at di ko xa napanod dahil kelangan kong umuwi, basta umuwi ako maaga, pero masaya naman kanina sa skul, tambay at kwentuhan at may mga natulungan ulet akong mga frends. di ko talaga matiits na di tumulong.

PAINTING: here's my entry for the painting contest of shell. My medium is watercolor. Tama sabi nila, watercolor talaga pinaka-mahirap sa lahat ng medium. 5 days kong ginawa to in an 18x22 canson paper. Bawal magkamali sa watercolor kasi di na xa pede mapatungan so sobrang ingat ko talaga. Parusa, pero masaya naman at dami ko natutunan along the way. At kahit mukang tae, ewan, basta bahala na si batman....

Mediartrix @ 10

10th year anniversary of Mediartrix special Variety Show held @ the Auditorium Educ building, UST.

For my remarks, it was an overall success from the director's leadership, actors/actress, writers, computer operators, sound engineers, video editors, singers, bands, and even the creative staff of props men, it was great making everyone entertained with their burning passion to perform on stage. I could feel it from afar. The only thing I hate about it is the chordless mic, it ruins the show, almost all of us at the back can't hear the actors' dialogue so the punch lines are useless. Maybe it just ran out with battery. Still its a good play. And Congratulations Mediartix at 10. I hope more years to come and more talents to develop. ^___^

Book fair @ World Trade Center

Yesterday was a long day for me. halos 17 hours akong wala sa bahay. I woke up around 7am, nakarating na ko sa classroom quarter to 10 na dahil bumili pa ko ng gamit ko sa school supplies store sa pi noval. Ang saya ulet sa klase, syempre kulitan ulet. Hahahahaha. At nakapasa ako ng 2 plates ko at napapirmahan ko din sa wakas ung kulang kong plates para pde pa syang maipasa next week. Nakaluwag naman. Ang masama lang eh nahuli nyang may apat na plates inlcuding mine na pare-pareho aya pinaulit nya samin. Pero di na ako umamin na ako ang gumawa para di ibagsak mga klasmeyts ko. Sayang lang absent si fil-am-jap na klasmeyt kong gurl. ^___^

After class, DOTA mode. Masaya ang naging laban, we won at ako ang highest kills. Ahehehe, sarap pumtay e.

After that, I went to Engineering Complex para samahan ung friend ko. At angganda pala ng views dun dahil madaming chix. Lalo na nung malakas ang hangin. ^___^ At sakto may laban pa ng mga volleyball ang mga colleges. Kaso ang pangit ng timing, dumating ung isang klasmeyt ko na afro at inuntangan pa ko ng 100. nagkulang tuloy pera ko. T____T






After that nagtext na si KR dahil magkikita kami sa Robinson's Ermita. Ayun, nagkita kami sa Rob around 5 na, kasi anghaba ng nilakad ko, trapik pa sa quiapo dahil may misa sa Quiapo Church. Our agenda for the day is to search for the digital coloring tuorial na "Japanese Comickers 2" dahil may nakapagsabi sakin na meron daw dun sa book fair sa World Trade Center. Kaya ayun, nagtaxi na kami papuntang World Trade. Ayun, 7 pesos ang entrance para sa mga students. At may raffle ticket na yun. Asa naman na mabunot name namin dun. Nakita ko pa si Brian Uy, editor in chief ng Otakuzine, ayun bumili ako ng ozine manga kasi gusto magsample sa coloring ng friend ko. Saka 50 pesos lang naman un. Daming magagandang buks kaso wala akong pera. Angganda rin nung mga Manga na OH MY GOD, 100 pesos lang isa. Pati mga art books, 50% off. Kaso priority ko na mabili ung japanese comickers 2. Di ko na natiis dahil di ko mahanap sa buuk fair ung comickers, tumawag na ko sa fully book gateway at tinanong ko kung nakareserve pa ba para sakin ung comickers dun at ayun, uu daw, andun pa daw. SO nagdecide n kami in kr na umalis dun. Nakarating ako sa Gateway 8pm na. At sa wakas nabili ko na ang ultimate tutorial ng digital coloring na manga style pa rin. Asteeg, andito sa book ang dalawang idol artist ko, si Jeong juno desisgner ng lineage at Heung ty Kim designer ng War of genesis at Magnacarta. Wooooooh, that completes my day.


Angdami pa sanag mapagkakalibangan kaso la na ako pera. May Exhibit pa ung sony digicam na angganda talaga ng photo gallery nila sa gateway. Super cam na 10 megapixels. Ung mga photo is more on Japanese fashion sa streets. Ganda ng mga shots. Nainspire ako. Tas sakto pa na Penshoppe rockfest sa araneta collesium, kung may pera pa ako papanoorin ko un dahil andun na halos lahat ng mga sikat na bands. Walang pera kaya pinagtyagaan ko na lang ung libreng show sa gilid ng araneta near starbucks. Maganda rin naman ung girl at ganda rin ng voice nya. Acoustic jazz sila, nakakarelax at magaling ung percussionist.




After kong kumain sa bk, around 9:15pm, dumaan pa ako sa studio nila ludz, ayun pagpunta ko dun nanonood sila ng national geographic fight science. Maganda naman at di nasayang oras ko na panoorin xa dahil dami ko natutunan. Nakauwi na ako around 11:30. Sobrang pagod na ako. Kaya ngaun bahay mode lang ako hanggang bukas, magd-drawing na lang ako at dami ko pa palang tatapusin. Haaaaaay. Sana maging 8 days a week.
