PASKUHAN 2006

December 20, 2006

I woke up 6:30 in the morning to finish the comission portrait of my classmate's parents. It took me 2 and a half hours to finish it. At 10, I take bath, change clothes and head straight to SM Fairview to meet with my old friend. I borrowed his Naruto costume for our Paskuhan parade. From SM Fairview, I run to SM north comic alley to search for naruto wigs. But too bad there's none. Instead, I bought 2 artbooks, Seven Colors of the wind Aoi Nanase Illustrations and X Clamp Seven Angels.

On my way to UST, mek and my other classmates are already texting me reminding me about our christmas party, exchange gift and food since I'm the one who organized this class party. I arrive in UST around 1. I started collecting money, 20 pesos each for food. The legaspi twins sponsored the cake and Mek and Chachu Sponsored the drinks. 1 pizza is my contribution. The party starts late around 2:30. It's just a simple get together party but still, everyone enjoyed it. The exchange gifts its the fun part. Everyone enjoys the gifts they recieved. I'm glad its a successful party for us and everyone was able to eat from our limited budget. ^___^

Illust christmas party is just beside the Class Painting 1-1 party. So room 301 and 302 are occupied. I contributed rice for the Illust Xmas party. I love this org. I'll stay here and make this org productive and stronger. Nonetheless, people here are friendly and talented since all of them are artists. I gave my share of pizza and cake to my classmates so that everyone would be able eat. Illust party saves my belly! I'm thankful there's bunch of food there. Hotdogs, kikiams, crinklez, pies, barbecues, pasta and more. This season for sure will make me 10 pounds heavier if I can't control my eating habit. But it's ok. I like it that way.

The UST paskuhan is a bomb. So exciting and memorable. I hope we could prepare for next year's parade. Next time I will bring my classmate with me on the parade. There's a rumor a few days ago, they said there's no fireworks because they donated the money for Bicol victims of tragedy, no parade contest, they change it to inter-college dance contest instead. Still, CFAD insist to push the parade and last minute decision, the fireworks were made possible by the CSC. Now that's Paskuhan, the spirit is there. 3 mainstream band performed before it ends. Urban Dub, Dicta License and Spongecola. At least Urban Dub is there to rock on stage. Not all people like pogi rock and trash. Now I know why lots of people are hooked on Urban Dub. I appreciate their songs. Great performance also by tha Pharmacy Choral Group and all Dance Group. This event is one of my highlight for this year.I hope next year would be 10 times better than this. UP AME MATSURI

UP AME Matsuri @ Alumni Hall,December 9, 2006

Sobrang pagod kagabe. 11:30 na ako nakuwi. Buti na lang talaga kinulit ako ni takumi na sumama. Ayun, pinautang nya ako at siya din nagdrive. Mga 4pm na kami nakarating sa UP. Ok naman, naabutan naman namin mga main events tulad ng cosplay at bands. Ayos naman, andun mga ineexpect kong mga tao, sila JBAB, mga OS pipol, OS bands, dev meat, talk pinoy, illust, neocomix, ibang signas, mga cosplayers, mga old friends at marami pang iba. Sayang lang di nakatugtog new fallen snow at do ahou. Pareng niel pagaling ka na. Ahehe. So ayun, ok naman. Nanalo si majinboo sa cosplay at nanalo si JBAB sa fanart contest, solo nya ang 3,000 pesos na cash prize. hehe. Kasama ko din si lesli sa booth ng talkpinoy. Nagdrawing kami at nakipagkulitan sa ibang taga talkpinoy. Dami ko rin bagong nakilala. At andun din sila krinkles, vyxn, veritas, patty at riza. Hay, angsama lang ngaun, naambunan kasi ako kagabe nung nanood kame ng fireworks sa likod ng UP alumni Hall, kaya ayun, may saki ako ngaun. Buti na lang ni-cancel na ni anton yung activity namin sa UST. Kaya ayun, pahinga ako ngaun at magp-praktis na lang din ako magdrawing at irerefresh ko mga kanta dahil baka may praktis kami sa studio this week. Haaaay, todo busy na ako hanggang pasko. Haay, sana kayanin ko. Buti na lang may inspirasyon, harhar. ^___^

Lots of my classmates didn't make it due to some personal reasons. Still, we managed to have a quality time. Whole day of pure Fun! Swimming, fud tripz, biking, billiards, picture taking, basketball, road trip, malling, soundtrip, jamming, arcade and more. It drained up all my energy at the end of the day. We're all very exhausted, but the rewards, we had a nice get together of camaraderie and bonding of friendship. A very memorable day for all of us. And the place, I never thought we're going to a five star hotel sponsored by our classmate, the Legaspi twins. The place is so cool! What else to do, of course, PARTY!!! ^__^
